Im Bann Italiens − Corelli and the Italian masters
At the beginning of the 18th century, Italy was the musical promised land for European composers. Centers such as Rome, Naples, and Venice gave rise to new forms of musical expression that captivated musicians and audiences alike with their sonic splendor and virtuosity. At the heart of this development stood Arcangelo Corelli; to this day, his work epitomizes the perfection of the Italian Baroque like few others. The Bremer Barockorchester explores this unique musical universe, inviting the audience to experience the music of Corelli and his contemporaries.
